The Matrix

PMOTS of Coinspinner

a.k.a. TM

The Matrix is about the diameter of a pop can, and about as long as 1.5 pop cans. With the exception of two "caps" on each end (maybe round protrusions, of roughly the same diameter as the body and maybe 1/4" or 3/8" length), the entire surface of the body is circled in rings. The rings have a number (37?) characters on their surface, and their are two dots or marks (one on each cap). Two rings are offset by size or color from the other rings, and have a different series of marks.

When the rings are turned, the characters aligned with the marks create a phrase. The last two characters (on the two special rings) represent a number. The number is the probability of the event described in the phrase happening. Once the phrase is locked in, the user can adjust the numbers on the two special rings to effect the probability.

In this way, an event (or possible event) with a probability of 0, can have that probability adjusted upwards to 1.
