ADF - Session 7 {04-11-07}

Adam, Jesse, Jeff, Alice, Claus -

We wake up. We plan on heading north along 'the horse trail.' Erik says that it may be difficult to follow the aged trail.

After the first hour, Erik loses the trail. He belives that the only place that he can think they are going is al'hagerd.

We ask Erik if we can get straight there, or whether we should head back to the black road, and he believes we can head straight there.

We head there. Taking our time to make sure we are not being followed.

Night goes by uneventfully...

After an hour, we come to a rise. We see a road cut through the forest. The road comes near a stone steam before it pulls away. Between road and stream there is a structure. (we are to the southwest). There seems that there were four berms that formed crude walls, and at one point there was taller construction that has been burnt down. We can see 20 or 30 people working on it. A tower on the NE corner is being constructed. A bunch of tents in the inside.

South of the camp seem to be pens, that seem to be mostly empty though there are still some folks.

Closer to the road, there is a caravan that has pulled off the road. The wagons have horses and there is also a coral with more horses. There is a camp fire with people talking and we see some people being beaten.

They appear to be human, and there appear to be about 20 guards/taskmasters and another 15 by the caravans.

In addition to the keep, we do see some hanging cages...

We plan on watching throughout the day. We see several riders come and go, a couple groups come out of the forest, and other go out into the forest.

At the end of the day, the slaves are returned to the pens after being fed gruel, and then large fires are placed outside of the pens (4 of them) and the pens are watched.

Amethyst and Autumn move up to sneak up to the pens to see what they see. Halfway back, some guards hear something, but as the two sneaks wait, the guards move away. They circle around to get closer.

We see a pin-point of light on the far side of the camp, and the guards seem to be alerted. I updraft and draw their attention. Portt rides into combat.

A long fight, in the end, Portt and Valyn are captured and Autumn and Amethyst retreat with Erik.
