Adventures in Dagger Falls

 

FYI for everyone interested in what is going to happen in session I:

- Rumor has it that a patrol of Zhents was seen riding west about 30 miles north of Daggerfalls four days ago

- Yesterday, at a village called Orlin's crossing on the Red Bank (a stream and tributary to the Ashaba), about 10 miles north and west of Dagger Falls, a pair of orc bodies were pulled from the stream.

 

ALL OF THE ABOVE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON HOW EVERYONE ELSE FEELS ABOUT THE GEOGRAPHY (ADDING A TRIBUTARY, ORLIN'S CROSSING, ETC.)

 

 

Game 1: 12/20/06

 

05/07/72 Evening: Stoney Ale House (Laymen is the owner)

Relyan invites us to the house, Valyn arrives second.

Portt arrives, in his studded leather

Amethyst shows up, Relyan brought her some wine

 

We see a peddler on his way.

 

Eziel arrives.

Autumn shows up, tallish (5'8") northern descent, fair skin/ sandy hair. Attractive.

 

The peddler arrives.. Meklos (4'ish)...

 

Relyan tells us about the orc bodies, suggesting that we go and find out more information...

 

Portt offers to speak towards Derrik while the rest of us hanging out.

 

05/08/72 Morning

We leave together after dawn, heading with Meklos for 2 miles who then heads off to get some wood, but we keep heading on.

 

We arrive a Orlin's Crossing and the Red bank

 

Prott tells us that the Monrow brothers found it, by the blind spot.

 

We head to the Monrow's Farm

 

Bobby and Robert, the monrow brothers head out to show us where they are. They were White and bleeched. (10 year old kids).

 

Prott looks around, while Relyan sits down and the kids chat with him.

 

Eziel cast's see invisibilty, but sees nothing.

 

I step into the water to see how fast the current is.

 

Looking back to the house, I see a lot of girls in the house peeking at us, then the man of the house comes with his older boys and talk to us. The orcs were used as fertalizer, and he mentions that the orcs were cut.

 

One of the boys (Tyler) mentions that he found a broken quirl which looks like a zhent manufacture. We all agree.

 

Before leaving, I try to look for any more signs of debris in that might have been caught from the stream.

 

We start heading upsteam... Stop at the next farm and invited to eat lunch. (2sp for Mince Meat Pie)

 

We head towards the stone bridge, which was part of the Zhent's Black Road.

 

~6pm We see carrion birds cleaning bones and I see a horse munching on grass, it has a crossbow bolt in its rump

 

Prott approaches the horse calmly, and he notice that not only does the saddle look like its been there for a while, but it has a brand (Phaln family)

 

8 Orc bodies, scattered, burned. Fire marks

7 Naked Human bodies

 

I look in the bags... Knives, bedroll, Mementos, gifts, letters... from : Serethin's father to Serethin.

 

I think this might be serethin's horse, so I say that. WE try figuring out where the horse came from.

 

We see more zhent bolts...

 

Looks like an average zhent patrol arrived from the northeast... everything is on the east.

 

I find sand in the possessions, mentioning it we figure he might have been coming from the Anarach.

 

Autumn mentions I should read the letters.

 

His last assignment, involved him working in the southern anarach

 

 

We look around for for signs what happened. We find where the humans die, and were they were dragged. We find other spots were people were severly injured, but no boides. One of these points of injuries in the middle of the bridge.

 

We see clawmarks of several of creatures trying to climb out.

 

We look around again, this time we (I) call out towards everyone...

 

We camp the night...

 

Watch: Amethyst, Prott, Relyan, Autumn, Eziel

 

Eziel's watch... Lots of shapes... not threatening... spookie shit..

 

 

05/09/72 MOrning

I spin the prism's augury, and inqire to my lord what the outcome would be if we look for serethin to the west. I see mostly warm colors though there are several viloet bars. also, within the light, I see a rise that levels off a bit... which makes me think of the hills to the west.

 

Eziel speaks to me in private

 

We head west... 4 miles west, we find a dozen horses. Orc bodies, Human bodies, missing big chunks.

 

None of the human bodies are wearing armor or have equipment.

 

Everything looks like it has been eating them. One horse's head is off its body... and half its head has been melted

 

Eziel found one horse's breastbone with a crossbow bolt in it.

 

We keep riding... Amathyst sees something glinty to the right... we think that something big there is going to throw a rock at us.

I give chase, but can't catch. We eventually regroup at the staging camp of the bandits. ONe has a closed mail fist and the older horse has a skull. (cyric/bane)

We decide to keep the stuff on the horses, and bring the horses with us as we keep heading west.

I think in a shared environment, we just have to live the decisions of others and don't need the note about objections. If someone has an objection they can certainly raise it, but we shouldn't be endlessly worried about messing others up. Just go with the flow.
