Character Creation
Stat Generation
Roll 3d6 in order for each stat. Keep adding 1d6 until the sum of your stats reaches or exceeds 84. Then, take any stat over 18, and drop it to 18, the extra points are wasted. Stats must be over 8, any stat originally less then 8 will need to be improved first.
Level, XP, and Cash
We will be starting at 4th level, with 6000(?) xp.
We will use the standard 5,400gp for a PC starting at 4th level.
Hit Points
Max HP at first level, then roll two of the appropriate die for each level, and pick which one you want.
Forgotten Realms Specific Rules
We will be using Regional Feats and Regional bonus Equipment

The spell compendium strips away (I believe) some of the 'deity specific' spells. Do we want to go with the spell compendium or with PGtF?

Further, why are we limiting the type of material that an item can be made from... but not putting anything in place that limits the type of magic item someone can get?

I guess it's too late to throw in my input on the stat system, but what is essentially point buy always feels so powergamer.

I think, that while we were sitting around the table, the option of rolling was discused. But since everyone liked the 84 point thing, we went with that.
If you want to roll 3d6, you can... but I think everyone else used the other method.

Wait a sec, when rolling the 1d6, do we:
1. Continue rolling 1d6 in order over the stats (this seems like it would favor certain stats)
2. roll 1d6 and then choose where to put the result
3. choose where to put the result and then roll 1d6
I'm suspecting it's option 3 but just want to be sure.
